Who is Ixchel?

Ixchel, a Bronx Native with Belizean roots, is passionate about empowering and inspiring those around her. She loves to be in settings that inspire and promote creativity, cultural awareness and education. ​A little over two years ago, she became ill and her ordeal forced her to embark on a journey to educate herself about mental health, holistic health and wellness practices while searching to discover solutions on her own about how to tackle her undiagnosed, chronic illness. 

Her struggle and transparency inspired her to be a champion for educating and encouraging others on the importance of making necessary lifestyle adjustments to avoid illness, maintaining optimal physical and mental health and supporting our sacred Mother Earth. Through this journey she has inspired others to make critical changes to diet, lifestyle, medication, and mental health. Her end goal has always been to transform her life and that of others with dignity and grace. The idea for creating a healthy, organically sustainable brand that offers options for others like her, and serves as a catalyst to shift the momentum of our societies to a slower, more conscious and minimalist lifestyle is what birthed "BasiX by Ixchel".
